World of Warcraft Burning Crusade - Sylvanas singing


An interesting moment from Burning Crusade. One of the random item quests from the Ghostlands is a locket that belongs to Sylvanas, you are asked to return it to her. When you do, an emote pops up as follows: "Lady Sylvanas Windrunner looks down at the discarded necklace. In her sadness, the lady incants a glamour, which beckons forth Highborne spirits. The chamber resonates with their ancient song about the Sin'dorei..." Just another interesting and fun quest moment from Burning Crusade!

Yes, there is a quest chain that involves a gift (a necklace) from one of her sisters, Alleria Windrunner. The necklace can be found in Ghostlands at one of the banshees that roam the Windrunner spires (west of the map). Following the quest, eventually you bring the gift to Sylvans, which is shocked and touched for a second, then she becomes all cold hearted again. When you click "complete quest" she starts to sing this song. This is a horde quest only! I just did it today, beautiful!

She uses sin'dorei because the highelves that survived the scourge onslaught renamed themselved blood elves, in memory of the fallen brothers (Sylvanas being one of the fallen). You have to remember that the blood elves are allied with the horde, thus with the Forsaken.

I think it's interesting this song uses the term sin'dorei(blood elf) when it's a song of the quel'dorei(high elves) and Sylvanas herself was a quel'dorei. Perhaps an oversight by Blizzard?
