so youare not a guild wars player? well if you want the full experience of guild wars 2 you might want to get guild wars 1 series for the full effect (it has important lore and such), there is 1 race: human but u meet other races, there is a difference between rpg and pvp world but an rpg character can play both, u do what u said and many many more things.

thanks i just have like a few more questions: 1) I looked at a vid on utube and there's like 2 options : RPG world or Pvp world. IS there any difference? Like can i create a character called "ABCDEF" and go into the rpg world and the pvp world? 2) Is there more than one race? 3) I heard GW 2 is coming out this year. Should i wait for it 2 come out or should i get the original version? 4) What exactly do u do in this game? Is it like kill monsters, level up, gain money, and chill out?

I will help you, there are 3 stand alone versions of guildwars and 1 expansion , standalones are: Prophecies, Factions,Nightfall and the expansion is eye of the north. In Prophecies and Nightfall there are alot of people, you need 1 of the standalones if you want to play eye of the north to. You can play with anyone in the world from Europe, United States and Asia. I hope i have given you enough information :)

hey can i ask someone something? i really want to play guild wars but i heard there's like more than one version? i wanna play the version in which there's more people. which one should i get? oh btw i'm rlly noob i haven't informed myself on this game so i don't know almost anything of it. Are there servers? Because i live in europe. Does this affect anything? Does living in europe decide which version of GW to get? I'm confused. Please help. Someone. Please.

Yet when I put the disk in and play it, I get THIS GAME. Eye of the North... And I've seen Ascalon, Gwen, and everyone else... I'm just wondering why it didn't say "Eye of the North" on the case or the disk. I'm a n00b at this. First online RPG.

Well, it wasn't free. I got the platinum edition for 40 bucks. The case says Guild Wars: Platinum Edition. Includes Guild Wars GOTY edition, and Guild Wars Factions. The disk says exactly the same thing. (You can see Nika the assassin on both the case and the disk) But on the manual, it just says "Guild Wars Manual" with that sexy necromancer on the front. Sound familiar?

THe platinium edition of GW is GW prophecies and Eye of the north. The music composer is Jeremy Soul, he will make the music again for GW2
