wait.... somehow the video stopped after destroying the mutant base. forgot that there still is the whole "blow up the cathedral" part....its been forever since i last played fallout... sry.

Think it's a bug he's using to avoid combat... i'm not sure. But i think u can outrun the rats in the beginning anyway (would problably take a minute or so longer) and if you attempt it several times u would probably have the chance of getting to the mutant base without random encounters. So this is probably quite close to a "proper" speedrun (without taking advantage of bugs)

The enemies never actually attack you, so unless there is something I'm unaware of, you are cheating. So it's hardly a speed run, when you need to cheat.

Fallout 1 > Fallout 2. Sorry. Definitely better/more party interactions etc. in the 2nd, but the 1st has such memorable characters, settings and the story is just overall put together better.

When ke beat the base it took him to level 5. I copied this at home it was fun.
