The song on the fallout 3 trailer was actually the song they wanted for the original instead of "Maybe". They weren't able to get the rights to use the song for some reason, though it's the same group(The Ink Spots) that does both songs.

It's such a classic song, truly timeless, though sad and perhaps fornlorn is the right word, though perfect for the intro. Though I like the song they've picked for the intro for the Fallout 3 trailer too. Equally eerie.

Couldn't have said it better. I remembered that song till today although I haven't played this game for about nine years. It is just absolutely jaw-dropping.

There are no words to describe what I felt when I watched this intro 10 years ago for the first time . i'm speechless now , 10 years later . History was being made then , and the funny thing is that ,somehow, I was able to realize it.
